Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park:
Kibale National Park is home to one of the largest populations of wild chimpanzees in the world, and you will have the opportunity to trek through the dense rainforest in search of these amazing primates.
Queen Elizabeth National Park offers a variety of wildlife viewing opportunities, including a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel and a game drive in the park. During these activities, you may see elephants, buffalos, and a variety of bird species.
The Ishasha sector is famous for its tree-climbing lions, and you will have the chance to see these magnificent animals resting in the branches of fig trees.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of the last remaining habitats for wild gorillas, and you will participate in a guided trek through the dense rainforest in search of these amazing primates.
Immersive Wildlife Experiences:
Throughout the trip, you will have opportunities to observe and experience a wide range of wildlife, including gorillas, chimpanzees, lions, elephants, and many different species of birds. These experiences are unique and immersive, allowing you to get up close and personal with some of the most amazing creatures on the planet.
Start your Safari with a pick-up from your hotel or airport in Kampala and a transfer to Kibale National Park, which is located in western Uganda. The journey to the first destination, Kibale National Park, will take approximately 4-5 hours, with stops along the way for lunch and other necessities and offers breathtaking views of the Ugandan countryside. Upon arrival at Kibale National Park, you will check into your lodge and have the rest of the evening to relax and have dinner and prepare for the next day’s chimpanzee trekking experience.

After an early breakfast, you will be taken to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking. Kibale National Park is home to over 1500 chimpanzees and is considered one of the best places in the world to see these primates. The trek will take you through the dense forest, where you will spot other primates like colobus monkeys, red colobus, and red-tailed monkeys. Once you have located the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour observing them in their natural habitat.
After lunch visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary from where you will take on a guided walk around the Swamp which will provide you with the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna. View a variety of butterflies, birds and other insects. Have a tour of the crater region around Ndali lodge. You may also stop over at any tea plantation along the road if you wish. Have an evening tour of the crater region, visit top of the world, the natural bridge. On a clear day you will be able to have a view of the snow cap on the Rwenzori. After breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is located in southwestern Uganda. The drive takes approximately 4 hours and offers breathtaking views of the Rwenzori Mountains and the vast savannah plains. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will go on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which offers an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and crocodiles. After the boat cruise, you will go on an evening game drive, where you will see more wildlife and the beautiful sunset over the savannah plains.

After breakfast, you will transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest through the Ishasha sector. During this transfer, you will have the chance to see lions climbing trees, which is a unique and rare occurrence. These lions are the only ones in the world that are known to climb trees and this experience is not to be missed. The drive will take approximately 4-5 hours, with stops along the way for lunch and other necessities. Upon arrival at Bwindi, you will check into your lodge and have the rest of the evening to relax and prepare for the next day’s gorilla tracking adventure.

Bwindi is home to over half of the world’s remaining gorillas and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the morning, you will be briefed by a trained guide on the rules and regulations of gorilla tracking, as well as the safety precautions to take while in the forest.
You will then embark on a challenging but rewarding hike through the dense jungle in search of the gorillas. The hike can last anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on the location of the gorillas on that particular day. Upon finding the gorillas, you will have the opportunity to observe them for an hour, during which time you can watch them interact with each other, feed, and play. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is not to be missed.
After the gorilla tracking experience, you will return to your lodge for the night, where you can reflect on the amazing day you had and rest for the next day’s journey back to Kampala.
